Or, if my level 4 Ogre gets injured and I don't want to start all over I might spend a little extra for a level 2 Ogre so my team doesn't suffer as much. If one of my star Gutter Runners injures his back I can put him out there as a free agent and see if I can get some money for him from someone else that wants to risk having him. Lastly, there is a marketplace you can spend treasury money on to get new players that other players are selling. As a result, you might even be better off saving your money. However, these upgrades are a double-edged sword: they apply to both players. For instance, you can buy harder turf that makes players more likely to get injured or a ref booth area that lets your team get a free bribe. You can customize it by appearance and what sponsor you have for your players and also buy an upgrade. There is also a new feature where you have a home stadium that you can spend treasury money on and buy an upgrade for. Teams are also rated by difficulty and given strengths and weaknesses, so you no longer just pick a team and then try to "figure them out". The beta is just multiplayer for now or local multiplayer against AI since they're trying to work out any bugs they said they would be updating throughout the week but I'm not sure what that entails. I played two AI matches and three online matches vs other players. I decided to pre-order Blood Bowl 2 and now have access to the beta. As a background, I bought Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition during the latest sale and played it all week, greatly enjoying it.
